Before his first birthday, Albert was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy—a rare and life-threatening condition that severely impacts his muscle strength and movement. The first signs appeared at his three-month check-up, when doctors noticed his weak muscle tone. This condition affects his ability to sit, walk, and move independently, and requires ongoing, intensive medical care to support his health and quality of life.

Despite these challenges, Albert’s spirit remains unshakable. He is a devoted son, a loving brother, and a hardworking student who exemplifies resilience, perseverance, and integrity. His passion for learning drives his academic success, and his quiet strength inspires everyone around him. Even at a young age, Albert is determined to gain as much independence as possible, meeting each day with remarkable courage and resolve.

To continue thriving, Albert needs critical support. Ongoing medical care is essential, and  consistent therapy would help him better express himself, and home modifications are urgently needed to ensure a safe, accessible space—especially after a caregiver injury that occurred while lifting him.
