EVER SUAREZ
My name is Ever Suárez, also known as 4Ever DJ El Cubanito de Cienfuegos. I was born in Cuba with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) — a condition that has kept me in a wheelchair all my life. But even though I’ve never been able to walk, I’ve always moved forward with determination, faith, and love for life.
At 18 years old, I came to the United States chasing a dream: to build a future through music, creativity, and community. For over 20 years, I’ve worked as a DJ and music producer, using my art to promote accessibility, inclusion, and awareness for people with disabilities. I believe music and kindness can open hearts and change lives — and that’s what keeps me going.
When the pandemic hit in 2020, everything changed. I lost my job, my car, and most of the independence I had worked so hard to build. Without a vehicle, daily life became a challenge — from getting to appointments to participating in the advocacy events I love so much. It felt like losing a piece of my freedom.
Recently, I received amazing news: after a full evaluation by Vocational Rehabilitation Services, I’ve been cleared and fit to drive again! That means I can get back on the road — but to do so, I need a wheelchair-accessible van, specially adapted so I can drive safely and independently. This fundraising campaign is my step toward that dream.
My goal is to raise enough funds to cover the down payment for a van, and eventually complete the modifications needed for accessibility. Having this vanwouldn’t just restore my freedom — it would also allow me to help others in wheelchairs, give rides to friends, and keep attending community events that bring joy, awareness, and connection.
Every dollar counts. Every share, every word of encouragement means the world. You’re not just helping me buy a vehicle — you’re helping me reclaim independence and continue my mission to make this world a little kinder and more inclusive.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for believing in me and being part of my journey.
